The Ethiopian Nuclear Energy Commission (ENEC) is a federal government institution established under Council of Ministers Regulation No. 575/2025.
ENEC is the national authority responsible for leading, coordinating, and promoting the peaceful use of nuclear science and technology in Ethiopia, serving as the Nuclear Energy Programme Implementing Organization (NEPIO).
Through strong partnerships with national stakeholders and international institutions including the IAEA, ENEC aims to strengthen national capacity in nuclear applications, radiation protection, nuclear safety and security.
